FAQ
TECHNICAL
-
It’s enough when you’re handy. All our products are robust and are made for easy installation.
-
Yes. The instant hot water technology is an add-on that eliminates wait times and water waste. A primairy heat source like a boiler, heatpump, on-demand water heater,…
-
Heau products feature an easily accessible mesh filter to catch coarse debris. Additionally, the dynamic flexible membrane naturally sheds scale, while bottom-positioned outlets flush away all limescale particles with the flow, preventing buildup in the reservoir.
-
Max. 30 m of pipes (internal diameter 20mm) between boiler (or heat pump) and shower.
You can verify this by opening the hot water at 100%. If less than 10L of cold water comes out before it turns warm, you can enjoy the instant hot water technology. Not the case? Contact us for a tailored product.
The operating pressure should be between 2 and 6 bar.
-
Perform the "bucket test": turn the hot tap on fully and catch the water in a 10-liter bucket. Does the water get hot before the bucket overflows? If so, the standard technology is suitable. If the bucket overflows and the water is still cold, please contact us for a custom solution.
-
Yes, your safety is our top priority. To ensure safe showering conditions, we conducted extensive testing in collaboration with certified research facilities.
USAGE
-
Relax and enjoy! During the first days, the water in the Therm-eau reservoir will slowly cool down (approx. 5°C per 24h). Once the water temperature drops below 42°C, the heating element switches on to ensure you can enjoy your instant hot water upon return!
-
Absolutely. Thanks to its high-performance insulation, heat loss is minimal (approx. 5°C per 24 hours) during short absences. For longer periods of non-use, the system manages standby temperatures efficiently and runs an automatic legionella prevention cycle (heating to 60°C) to ensure your water remains 100% safe and ready for instant use upon your arrival.
-
Yes. When you choose a cold shower, the heau system simply remains inactive and does not release any stored energy. The hot water is preserved and ready for your next warm shower.
