Frequently Asked Questions
TECHNICAL
-
There are 3 requirements:
Max. 30m of pipes (internal diameter 20mm) between boiler and shower.
You can verify this by opening the hot water at 100%. If less than 10L of cold water comes out before it turns warm, you can enjoy the instant hot water technology. Not the case? Contact us for a tailored product.
The incoming hot water should have a temperature of at least 55°C. This is the minimal temperature according to regulation.
The operating pressure should be between 2 and 6 bar.
-
All parts are easily accessible and can be replaced in case of issues. We built a product to last.
-
As you wish!
Thanks to its high-performance insulation, the water temperature in the reservoir decreases by only 5°C every 24 hours.
This means you can still enjoy instant hot water for up to about 3 days after your last shower, without active heating.
Once the water temperature drops below 42°C, the heating element automatically switches on to reheat the water. -
Relax and enjoy!
During the first days, the water in the Therm-eau reservoir will slowly cool down (approx. 5°C per 24h). Once the water temperature drops below 42°C, the heating element switches on to ensure you can enjoy your instant hot water upon return!
-
Even though you can enjoy instant warm water without electricity during regular use, connecting the heating element to power (via a 12V adapter) gives you unlimited hot water anytime you need it.
-
Yes, your safety is our top priority.
To ensure safe showering conditions, we conducted extensive testing in collaboration with certified research facilities.
In accordance with NEN1006 guidelines, a minimum hot water temperature of 55°C must be maintained.
Operating at lower temperatures may cause issues throughout the hot water system. -
Yes, a boiler or a heatpump is required to heat the water. Heau stores energy from the previous shower session to start your new shower with instant hot water.
-
An industry standard 1/2″ thread connector with hot and cold water is required.
