Thermal storage: the Therm-eau reservoir loses +/- 5°C per 24h at an ambient temperature of 20°C, retaining sufficient heat for at least 3 days. When the water temperature drops to 42°C, a heating element is activated to reheat the water.
Usage behavior: For regular shower use, the system operates passively (no electricity). If the water temperature drops to 42°C (> 2 days without showering) the heating element automatically activates to reheat the water.
Self-regulating hydraulic valves: Unique designed self-regulating valves that control the mechanism with basic physical principles
Easy installation: The Therm-eau fix is installed via the Shower fix frame
Electrical connection: via 12V power supply
10L water storage in Therm-eau reservoir (equivalent to 30m of pipes with internal diameter 20mm)
Materials: High-quality stainless steel valves (614) & vacuum insulation
Connection hot & cold water: G½’’
Operating pressure: between 2 - 6 bar
Recommended flow: 6 - 25 L/min
Temperature of hot water inlet: between 55°C (according to NEN1006) and 75°C
Access: Reservoir slides upward in internal rail system for easy access
Cleanable mesh filters at inlet of Heau valve
Safety against backflow
Weight: 34,2 kg

TECHNICAL
-
Max. 30 m of pipes (internal diameter 20mm) between boiler (or heat pump) and shower.
You can verify this by opening the hot water at 100%. If less than 10L of cold water comes out before it turns warm, you can enjoy the instant hot water technology. Not the case? Contact us for a tailored product.
The operating pressure should be between 2 and 6 bar.
-
It’s enough when you’re handy. All our products are robust and are made for easy installation.
-
Maintenance is not required, but shoud anything have happend, all products guarantee easy access to the parts. Furthermore, we offer an 8-year warranty on the technology for your peace of mind.
-
Yes. The instant hot water technology is an add-on that eliminates wait times and water waste. A primairy heat source like a boiler, heatpump, on-demand water heater,…
-
Even though you can enjoy instant warm water without electricity during regular use, connecting the heating element to power (via a 12V adapter IP 57) gives you unlimited hot water anytime you need it.
-
The water pressure should be between 2 and 6 bar. In most countries, this is the case in almost every household.
-
Heau products feature an easily accessible mesh filter to catch coarse debris. Additionally, the dynamic flexible membrane naturally sheds scale, while bottom-positioned outlets flush away all limescale particles with the flow, preventing buildup in the reservoir.
-
Perform the "bucket test": turn the hot tap on fully and catch the water in a 10-liter bucket. Does the water get hot before the bucket overflows? If so, the standard technology is suitable. If the bucket overflows and the water is still cold, please contact us for a custom solution.
-
No, it is not mandatory. The technology comes pre-mounted on the Therm-eau fix. However, the Shower fix frame is specifically designed to make installation in the shower area as simple as possible.
-
Yes, this is fresh water coming directly from your boiler or heat pump.
-
Yes, your safety is our top priority. To ensure safe showering conditions, we conducted extensive testing in collaboration with certified research facilities. In accordance with NEN1006 guidelines, a minimum hot water temperature of 55°C must be maintained. Operating at lower temperatures may cause issues throughout the hot water system.
USAGE
-
Relax and enjoy! During the first days, the water in the Therm-eau reservoir will slowly cool down (approx. 5°C per 24h). Once the water temperature drops below 42°C, the heating element switches on to ensure you can enjoy your instant hot water upon return!
-
Absolutely. Thanks to its high-performance insulation, heat loss is minimal (approx. 5°C per 24 hours) during short absences. For longer periods of non-use, the system manages standby temperatures efficiently and runs an automatic legionella prevention cycle (heating to 60°C) to ensure your water remains 100% safe and ready for instant use upon your arrival.
-
Yes, you can. In practice, the two outputs of the module are connected with a T-joint, from which the pipes run to the two separate mixing taps. Learn more

-
Use it whenever you like. Thanks to high-performance thermal insulation, the reservoir loses just 5°C every 24 hours. This ensures instant hot water for up to three days after your last shower without active heating. Should the temperature fall below comfort setting, the unit briefly reheats to 60°C before returning to standby mode.
-
Yes. When you choose a cold shower, the heau system simply remains inactive and does not release any stored energy. The hot water is preserved and ready for your next warm shower.
DESIGN
-
Yes, you can. Heau products are compatible with finishes from other brands, including Blaufoss, Grohe and Hansgrohe.
-
Heau makes no compromise regarding durability and only uses top materials that are also recyclable.
